South African Vocalist Loren Erasmus Celebrates Five Golden Decades With A Spectacular Concert In Paarl - And A New Anthem Of Resilience Is Already Making Waves

What happens when one of Paarl’s most beloved voices turns 50? An entire town gets invited to celebrate.

South African vocalist Loren Erasmus, affectionately known as “The Pearl of Paarl,” is marking her milestone 50th birthday with The Golden Concert, an extraordinary evening of music, memories, laughter and special guest performances at Paarl Town Hall on Saturday, 30 January 2027.

But there is more to Loren’s golden milestone than a birthday.

As she enters this exciting new chapter, the soulful vocalist is also using her voice to tell a bigger story: one about resilience, womanhood, overcoming adversity and finding the courage to rise again.

Her newly released single, A Woman Unbroken, is the powerful soundtrack to that message.

“I wanted to create something that speaks to every woman who has had to find her strength again.”

Released to coincide with Women’s Month, A Woman Unbroken is an emotional and empowering new chapter for Loren, a song that encourages women to embrace their stories, honour their scars and recognise that what they have survived does not define their limitations.

The single is now available to download and stream across all major digital music platforms, giving audiences everywhere an opportunity to experience Loren’s latest musical offering.

For Loren, the song is deeply personal.

“A Woman Unbroken is a reminder that we can bend without breaking, that our scars can become part of our strength, and that no matter what life throws at us, we can rise again,” says Loren. “I want women to hear this song and feel seen, encouraged and reminded of their own power.”

Her journey offers much to talk about: turning 50, reinvention, resilience, the South African music industry, womanhood, entrepreneurship, community, finding purpose and what it means to continue pursuing your passion at every stage of life.

THE GOLDEN CONCERT: 50 YEARS OF MUSIC, MEMORIES & MILESTONES

On 30 January, Loren will bring that story to life on stage with The Golden Concert.

The event promises an unforgettable celebration of the music, people and experiences that have shaped her journey: from the songs that have become part of her story to the memories that have made her who she is today.

And then there is the artist line-up.

While the full list of special guest artists is still under wraps, audiences can expect a line-up that is not to be missed, with the guest performers set to add even more excitement, nostalgia and musical magic to an already special evening.

If you love live music, this is one January 2027 date you will want in your diary.

“The Golden Concert is not just a birthday party. It is a celebration of the journey : the highs, the lows, the people, the music and the lessons,” says Loren. “I want everyone who walks through those doors to feel like they are part of the story.”

The evening will combine live music, special guest artists, storytelling and celebration, creating an experience that reflects Loren’s personality and musical journey.

And, naturally, there will be a touch of gold.
